Powell Garden will kick off the festival with the Festival of Lights on Thursday.

Miles of holiday lights illuminate the tree collection and garden design of Powell Gardens.

The Festival of Lights is held from Wednesday to Sunday from 4pm to 10pm until December 30th. Tickets are available at www.powellgardens.org/lights.

Those attending the festival can walk a mile-long path through 25 acres of land. Powell Gardens stated that the route complies with ADA standards and a shorter route can be selected.

A newly designed Enchanted Tiki bar occupies a glass dome conservatory, while a new heating station along the trail sells sweetened or non-alcoholic hot chocolate and Louisbourg cider.

There is also a new magic tree wrapped in 3.5 miles of lights.
