Summer is winding down, and the latest launches are taking a markedly autumnal turn. From artisanal jute-and-prima-alpaca rugs to fall foliage-filled porcelain tile designs, here are some highlights from the recent round of debuts.
House of Hackney and Los Angeles design duo Pierce & Ward unveiled a limited-edition collection. Crafted for the former’s Fantasy Room project—where up-and-coming creatives reimagine the British brand’s archival prints—the collab features wallpaper, fabric, cushions and a lampshade clad in an updated version of Phantasia, a fantastical garden-themed pattern.
Weitzner debuted a dreamy fall collection called Marina. A love letter to oceans, rivers and coastal landscapes, the series features velvets, linens, embroideries, outdoor fabrics and wallcoverings, such as a hand-stenciled—and paintable!—plaster-inspired wall design dubbed Acanthus II and a plush diamond-patterned chenille named Undertow.
Sandra Jordan Prima Alpaca introduced its first-ever rug collection in collaboration with Nepalese brand Erden. Now available at Somerselle, the line offers three artisanally crafted designs woven from prima all-natural fibers, including the jute-accented Doran, the boucle Gualala and the wavy-lined Stinson.
Dillard's called on Lathem Gordon and Cate Dunning of GordonDunning to create the inaugural line for its Southern Living home collection. Born out of the Atlanta design duo’s love for vintage textiles and heirloom antiques, the series ranges from an ikat-patterned bolster pillow to a marble-and-acacia-wood book holder and a tortoiseshell-style waste bin.
Schumacher tapped Black Pepper Paperie Co. founder Hadiya Williams for an artful collaboration. Inspired by the iconic 1970s film The Wiz, the collection includes upholstery and wallcoverings adorned in bold graphic prints in an array of hues, such as the trippy op-art style Den Appliqué and the squiggly two-toned Trace.
Pollack rolled out a characterful fall collection named Art School. An homage to traditional color theory and experimental mark-making, the series spans 25 textile designs ranging from the embroidered Rapunzel and the wooly We Love Ewe to our current crush, Rolling Hills, a polychromatic outdoor-friendly fabric with an ombre mountain motif.
Minted launched a curated marketplace of original designs titled Direct From Artist. The platform offers an assortment of textiles, decor objects and small furniture pieces sourced from makers across the globe, including a carved wood chair with a sleek leather seat and hand-pinched ceramic vases.
TileBar teamed up with Denver-based lifestyle brand Bode & Well by Angela Harris for the Wilder collection. The collaboration features three matte porcelain tile designs with botanical motifs—such as the wildflower-filled Protea Leaves and the earth-toned Autumn Leaves—that can be installed vertically or horizontally to mimic the look of a hand-painted mural.
Crate & Kids released a maximalist collection of child-friendly textiles designed by John Robshaw. The line boasts bedding, towels and floorcoverings with vibrant prints and fanciful embellishments, such as a micro-striped quilt lined in pink and yellow tassels and an embroidered throw pillow covered in mirrored circles.
