The carmaker has revealed its new sporty luxury crossover, which will come with four powertrains to choose from.

The 1998 Lexus RX pioneered the luxury crossover segment when it made its debut in North America. Around 25 years after, the RX nameplate still lives on, with a couple of powertrains to choose from. And now, the all-new 2023 Lexus RX is arriving as the fifth-generation of the sporty luxury crossover.

For the newest-gen Lexus RX, the crossover is now sitting on the new GA-K platform. This new architecture allows the 2023 RX to be up to 198 lbs lighter than the previous generation, while increased rigidity means refined ride comfort and quietness. With this new platform, the RX offers more legroom for rear passengers, increased cargo space and a lowered back door trim.

Lexus will offer the all-new RX in four new powertrain options, including an RX Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) model. The RX 350 (FWD/AWD) comes with a responsive 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, delivering 275 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.

The RX 350h (AWD) features a fourth-generation hybrid system with a high-torque 2.5-liter inline-four engine, offering 246 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque. Other options include the RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid and the RX 500h F SPORT Performance.

The all-new 2023 RX builds on the iconic Lexus spindle design, evolving into a new, cohesive spindle body design. It features a sculpted seamless grille, integrated headlamps, and the signature L-shaped light bar lamp on the rear.

Six grades are available: Standard, Premium, RX-first Premium+, Luxury, F SPORT Handling and RX F SPORT Performance.
